LUCENA CITY — Two motorcycle riders yielded illegal firearms at a checkpoint in Mabini town in Batangas province early Wednesday.
The Region 4A police reported that motorcyclist “Romualdo” and his back-rider “Deo” were flagged down by local cops at a routine checkpoint along the national road in Barangay San Juan around 2:30 a.m.
Article continues after this advertisementThe riders disregarded the cops, who ordered them to stop and sped off, prompting the police to give chase until they were arrested.

Both failed to present government documents for the firearms.
